NOLA Acro had a successful weekend at the Region 3 Acrobatics Championships in Baytown, Texas! Our team competed against the best gyms from Louisiana and Texas. We are so proud of our athletes.
In addition to our athletes’ achievements our head coach, Ivan Ivanov, was awarded the Star Service Award. He was recognized for his contributions to the Acro community. He spends countless volunteer hours providing guidance and support to coaches and judges in our region.
As we near the end of the season, our level 7 and 8 groups will continue to train to compete at the National Championships in June.
Our Junior and Senior Acro Team sparkled at the Acrobatic State Championships in Denham Springs. Our team won 8 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal. Other awards from the meet include:
Congratulations to all of our athletes who competed, we are so proud of everyone! Next month our Senior Acro Team will be representing NOLA Gymnastics at the Regional Championships.
Our Acro Team competed at the “Out Of This League” local competition in Denham Springs. NOLA gymnastics took home 8 gold medals and 1 silver. Our level 5 women’s pair, Miri and Una, got their highest score of the season with a 17.600. Our level 3 women’s group, Rebecca, Auden, and Jackie, also got their highest score with a 16.700. Next stop is Louisiana State Championships. Way to go NOLA!
